Blogging on this topic has given me a lot to consider. Who would read this? How do I impart this important information? Why would I expose myself and make myself vunerable? Holy Cow! This is making me accountable. I am going to have to follow through on this, because its so important to my patients' and readers' lives....
I started a new venture with a company called The Wellness Way. This is a group that is actually addressing the 3 T's of chiropractic. Thoughts, Traumas and Toxins. More on that later. Sure, I am a chiropractor and they are mostly chiropractors, but they are doing something different. The approach is life changing and in a lot of cases, life saving! We are a team of doctors, nurses and other health professionals who are digging deeper to create TRUE health care. Our motto is" We don't Guess, We Test!
During these next few months, I will be telling the story. Not the treatment, every person is different, every body is different. At the Wellness Way, we are different and understand this in our support recommendations to create a more normal environment in your body. We treat each patient as the remarkable and unique individuals they are.
The Beginning:
I know that this isn't a short term or quick fix for any of my problems. I have been living with and creating them for a long time. This is a marathon, but my life and HEALTH is worth it! I am no longer accepting health as just not being sick, because I am.
I filled out a Functional Assessment Questionnaire that asked me about my symptoms. The main complaints on my questionnaire was: 1. Severe Stomach Issues, 2. Fat, 3. Tired, 4. Tight shoulders. The questions are in different sections that relate to different organs and systems in the body. It will calculate and will guide you, along with your consultation and findings as to where to begin. It doesn't determine where you should start but its just a clinical test to give direction, like all tests.
I took my first Food Allergy test on Wednesday February 8, 2017. It was easy, I just gave the kit and prescription to the front desk at Metro Lab and blood was taken and off I went. They took care of the rest for me. Easy Button.
In the meantime, I am following recommendations I would give anyone who is under my care and the information that I have regarding their condition.
I can't wait for the results!
